We like to support Hampshire artists by displaying selections of their work within the pub. If you are a photographer
or painter or artist of another style/genre, and would be interested in exhibiting, please do get in touch.

Kathy Kiely : A Cheriton based artist who studied at The Winchester School of Art and who works with bold, luxurious
colours & differing textures on wood, canvas & paper, drawing from her surrounding natural environment for inspiration.
Matt Shobbrook: Having studied Art & Geography at Aberystwyth University, Matt has returned to Basingstoke, where
he now works as an artist from home. He is particularly interested in urban & rural scenes, drawing on
views through reflections in building facades & mirrors. He is also exhibiting work inspired by local woodlands
in the Basingstoke area. Much of his work can be viewed on the Saatchi gallery website.
Julia Monteiro : A Winchester based artist, who is also currently exhibiting at IBM. Her new series
'The
Revisited Film & Remembered Image', takes European film as its starting point, drawing on its atmospheric, poetic
& sensual aesthetic for inspiration

Lizzie McKellar : A fellow Winchester based artist & Hampshire Open Studios participant. Lizzies work 'involves abstract
and semi-figurative paintings, exploring the illusion of movement within the boundary of a fixed frame'.
